Statement from The New York Racing Association, Inc. on the "Indian Charlie" publication

ELMONT, N.Y. - In light of recent offensive content in the "Indian Charlie" newsletter, The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) will no longer permit the newsletter to be distributed on the grounds of its racetracks. NYRA has not been an advertiser in "Indian Charlie" in recent years, nor will it be one in the future.

Such insensitive statements are inconsistent with our goal of providing a welcoming and respectful experience for each and every one of our guests and for the dedicated men and women who work here. The sentiments recently expressed have no place at our three racetracks -- or anywhere, for that matter.
