Grandstand, clubhouse admission still available for California Chrome's

Triple Crown attempt in the June 7 Belmont Stakes

ELMONT, N.Y. - With two weeks remaining until California Chrome's Triple Crown attempt in the 146th running of the Grade 1, $1.5 million Belmont Stakes on Saturday, June 7, grandstand and clubhouse admission tickets are still available for New York's $8 million championship day of racing.

All reserved seating and premium dining options have been sold out, but admission to the grounds ($10 grandstand, $30 clubhouse) can be purchased through Ticketmaster at ticketmaster.com. As well, walk-up admission can be purchased at the track on Belmont Stakes Day itself and there are nearly 10,000 free seats located throughout the facility, including benches in the backyard, grandstand and trackside and tables in the tree-shaded picnic area.

LL COOL J, Frank Sinatra, Jr., former New York Yankees great Bernie Williams, a cast member from the Tony-award winning Broadway hit WICKED and highly acclaimed musicians from the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point will perform throughout the day at Belmont. In the backyard, live music by the Desert Highway Band (a tribute to the Eagles), will play from 4-5 p.m. and in between races after the Belmont.

On track, the 1 ½-mile Belmont - the oldest and longest leg of racing's Triple Crown - headlines a superlative 13-race card that includes five other Grade 1 events: the Grade 1, $1.25 million Metropolitan Handicap, the $1 million Knob Creek Manhattan, the $1 million Ogden Phipps, the $750,000 Longines Just a Game and the $750,000 TVG Acorn.

"We're extremely pleased with the way people have responded to the tremendous day of racing put together by Martin Panza, our senior vice president of racing operations, as well as the fantastic entertainment package that will bring the guest experience to an entirely new level," said Chris Kay, president and CEO of The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA). "Belmont Stakes Day will celebrate everything that is great about our state."
