(NYRA) is hosting the inaugural Coors Light Summer Brew Wing Festival on Saturday, May 24 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Festival Tent at Belmont Park. Tickets are $10 with all proceeds going to the Wounded Warrior Project, whose mission is to honor and empower injured veterans by providing programs and services to meet their needs. With the purchase of a ticket, fans will be able to taste two wing selections from six local restaurants and vote for the Best Wing and the Best Sauce. Participating restaurants include: Speakeasy in Long Beach, Wing Zone in East Meadow, The Wander Inn in Baldwin, Chef Nilka (The North Village Tavern) in Rockville Centre, Prova Trattoria & Pizzeria in Oceanside and Prost Grill and Garten in Garden City. Also on May 24, there will be the Grade 2, $200,000 Sheepshead Bay for fillies and mares at 1 3/8 miles on the turf and a $300,000 Guaranteed Late Pick 4. The Belmont spring/summer meet runs through July 13. Live racing is generally conducted Wednesday through Sunday. Belmont Park will be open on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, with no live racing on Tuesday and Wednesday that week.
