“horse talk happy hours” coming to five otb parlors
Informal Meet-Ups Will Bring Together Fans, Handicappers and FG Racing Staff
NEW ORLEANS (Monday, September 17, 2012) – Racing fans, handicappers and track executives will get to mix and mingle in a casual atmosphere during “Horse Talk Happy Hour” sessions presented by Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots this fall at five OTB parlors throughout Southeast Louisiana.
Horse Talk Happy Hours will be held on five consecutive Thursday evenings, from 6-7 p.m., starting Oct.18. Dates and locations are as follows:
October 18 – Elmwood OTB Casino (
October 25 – Metairie OTB Casino (
November 1 –
November 8 – Gretna OTB Casino (64A Westbank Expwy., near Stumpf; 504-364-1177)
November 15 – Kenner OTB Casino (
Fans can ask questions related to Fair Grounds or TSC Elite operations, get expert handicapping advice or even split a ticket with The Biscuit.
Members of Fair Grounds’ racing, publicity and mutuels staff will be on hand at each Happy Hour, including general manager Eric Halstrom, racing secretary
Happy hour specials will be in effect all evening and the Horse Talk crew will give away prizes for picking winners in designated simulcast races.
Prizes include Fair Grounds merchandise, Kentucky Derby photographs autographed by winning horsemen, passes for the Louisiana Derby and Starlight Racing and more!
