TRAINER TAMMY VOTED
Trainer Tammy Domenosky, racing the bulk of her stable at Arlington for the first time this summer, was voted “Miss Congeniality” for 2010 by the members of Arlington’s racing office and presented with a grab bag of goodies in the paddock late last week.

ANGEL MEGHAN RICE FLIES OVER
The late Meghan Rice, daughter of longtime Arlington valet Kenny Rice and the subject of a heartwarming profile on the CBS show “Undercover Boss,” returned to watch over her father for a surreal moment during training hours a couple of weeks ago.
Meghan, who died tragically at 20-years-of age early last year, had a race named in her honor on opening day at
“She’s my angel in heaven watching over me now,” said Kenny Rice after the opening day ceremonies. Now he’s saying that his angel has returned.
“I was working a horse the other day and the girth broke,” said Rice. “I was sure I was going to get thrown. I had absolutely no control and I was just waiting for the saddle to slip, and I remember saying, ‘Meghan, my baby, I could sure use a little help here.’
“Somehow, I don’t know how it happened, but the saddle never slipped and I never fell off,” said Rice. “Like I’ve said ever since she died, she’s still my angel watching over me.”
