JOCKEY JERMAINE BRIDGMOHAN CLEARED BY DOCTORS AND DISCHARGED FROM HOSPITAL

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Jockey Jermaine Bridgmohan was cleared by doctors and discharged from the hospital after being kicked in the abdominal region by his mount in the paddock before the third race at Saratoga Race Course on Saturday.

Bridgmohan, 22, was kicked by Cincinnati Kid while in the paddock before the third race. He was conscious and treated at the scene by NYRA paramedics, and then taken to Albany Medical Center for further evaluation.

Cincinnati Kid, a 4-year-old son of Lycius trained by Edward G Miller, was supposed to be making his first start in the 5 ½ furlong turf maiden special weight for New York-breds. He was scratched from the race because the trainer could not find a substitute rider.
