MSG PLUS SET TO TELECAST HISTORIC TRAVERS STAKES

THIS SATURDAY LIVE AT 5:00 PM

Saratoga Race Course’s Marquee Event Will Include Kentucky Derby Winner Super Saver

New York, NY, August 26, 2010 – MSG Plus’ “Saturdays at Saratoga” continues its weekly coverage Saturday, August 28 at 5:00 p.m. with the 141st running of the Grade 1, $1 million Travers Stakes live from historic Saratoga Race Course. The hour-long telecast will lead off with the Grade 1, $250,000 King’s Bishop. Jason Blewitt, Eric Donovan and Andy Serling will provide commentary for the telecast.

The Grade 1, $1 million Travers Stakes – Saratoga Race Course’s marquee event – has attracted a large, competitive 11-horse field which includes Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver. Other veterans from the Triple Crown who will be competing in the Travers are Ice Box, second in the Derby, First Dude, second in the Preakness and third in the Belmont Stakes, and Fly Down, second in the Belmont Stakes. The 7-2 morning line favorite for the Travers is A Little Warm, who will attempt to pick up another victory at the Spa in 2010, having won the Grade 2 Jim Dandy on July 31, while rising star Trappe Shot will look to go one better after finishing second in the Haskell Invitational last time out.

The final “Saturdays at Saratoga” will telecast Saturday, September 4 at 5 p.m. on MSG Plus. It will include live coverage of $750,000 Woodward (Grade I) and $250,000 Forego (Grade I). “Saturdays at Saratoga” is co-produced by MSG Plus and NYRA.
