SARATOGA JOCKEYS VS. MEDIA SOFTBALL DUEL TO BE HELD AUGUST 30

 

            The Saratoga jockeys will take on Capital District television and Star 101.3 FM radio personalities in a charity softball game on Monday, August 30.  The game will be held at the East Side Recreation Park on Lake Avenue in Saratoga Springs at 7 pm.  Gates open at 6 pm with a $5 admission for adults and a $2 admission for children under 12.

 

            The first 100 paid adult admissions will receive a commemorative t-shirt.

 

            In addition to the softball game, there will be raffle prizes and concessions from Mike’s Hot Dogs and Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream.  Following the game, a meet and greet will be held with jockeys and media available for photos and autographs.  

 

            The softball game will benefit the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund (PDJF).  The PDJF provides financial assistance to jockeys who have suffered disabling injuries on the track.   More information about the PDJF is available at www.pdjf.org.
