ANDY SERLING SARATOGA LIVE CHAT THURSDAY AT 8 PM

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Andy Serling, TV analyst for The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA), will participate in a live chat this Thursday, August 26 at 8 p.m. EDT. The homepage for the NYRA live chats is http://www.nyra.com/livechat/index.shtml.

Serling, who maintains a Twitter page (http://twitter.com/andyserling) where he gives out his selections daily, will answer questions regarding all of the tremendous weekend racing at Saratoga Race Course, including the Grade 1 Travers on Saturday and the Grade 1 Personal Ensign on Sunday, featuring 2009 Horse of the Year Rachel Alexandra’s return to the Spa.

On Travers Day, NYRA will offer a $1 Million Guaranteed All-Graded Stakes Late Pick 4 featuring the Travers, the Grade 1 King’s Bishop, the Grade 1 Ballerina, and the Grade 3 Victory Ride. By guaranteeing the wager, NYRA will supplement the net difference if the total pool is less than $1 million.

NYRA will also offer a special Double linking the Travers to the following day’s Personal Ensign, which will require bettors to correctly select the winners of both races.

Fans who wish to participate in the live dialogue with Serling may log on to http://www.nyra.com/livechat beginning this Thursday at 8 p.m. No pre-registration is necessary and users may simply type questions and comments in the chat field at the bottom of the page for Serling to address. At the conclusion of the chat, an “instant replay” is created for future reference.

NYRA has conducted live chats since October 23, 2009. NYRA TV Analyst Serling regularly hosts the chats, and there have been fifteen guest hosts: NYRA President Charles Hayward, NYRA Chief Operating Officer Hal Handel, trainers Gary Contessa, Bill Mott, Todd Pletcher and Chad Brown, leading New York jockey Ramon Dominguez, recently retired veteran New York rider Richard Migliore, Hall of Fame riders Angel Cordero and Jorge Velasquez, jockey Rajiv Maragh, trainer and NYTHA president, Rick Violette, NYRA Racecaller and Director of TV Production John Imbriale, NYRA TV Analyst Jason Blewitt and NYRA Oddsmaker Eric Donovan.
