MEDIA ADVISORY
ONLY GENERAL ADMISSION TICKETS FOR “RACING, MUSIC AND FIREWORKS” AT ARLINGTON PARK SATURDAY, JULY 3

WHAT: The Independence Day holiday weekend is just around the corner and it’s not too soon to mark the calendar for Arlington Park’s July 3 “Racing, Music and Fireworks” spectacular. The day’s festivities will feature the longest and largest fireworks display not only in the Chicagoland area, but also in Arlington Park’s storied history.

The day’s racing starts at a special twilight post time of 4 p.m. and the racing action – which features the Grade III $100,000 Arlington Oaks – will run nearly seamlessly into a spectacular fireworks display that gets underway at nightfall.  In addition, there will be live music on the band stage in the Park by Hi Infidelity throughout the day and into the evening plus a post-race winner’s circle performance by the band Jin and Tonic. In addition, there will be plenty of activities the entire family can enjoy including pony rides and a petting zoo.

The fireworks display, which will run more than 30 minutes, will be synchronized to a mixture of patriotic and popular music, and will encompass the entire infield area of the racecourse.
