California Superior Court Judge Grants Mullins
A Temporary Stay On His Suspension
May 27, 2010 – San Diego, CA – A California Superior Court Judge has stayed the California Horse Racing Board's (CHRB) 30-day suspension imposed upon Thoroughbred trainer Jeff Mullins until next Tuesday, June 2, 2010, when a hearing will be conducted on Mullins's application for a further stay.
The suspension, which Mullins began serving May 9, 2010, stemmed from an alleged 2008 TCO2 violation imposed by the CHRB without a hearing.
"After exhausting all of the administrative remedies through the CHRB, I had no choice but to go outside to seek justice," said Mullins.  "I look forward to being back in the court room on Tuesday and am very grateful to return to the job I love so much this weekend."

The stay, ordered by the Honorable Yuri Hofmann, is in effect until Tuesday, June 2, 2010.  The application for a stay was filed in Superior Court of California, County of San Diego, Central District.
