BELMONT STAKES PRIZE PACKAGE WINNER ANNOUNCED

ELMONT, N.Y. – Robert Parnell of Shrewsbury Township, N.J. is the winner of third annual Belmont Stakes Prize Package, the New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) announced today. Parnell will receive two premium tickets to the Belmont Stakes and a two night stay at The Garden City Hotel.

Parnell’s name was drawn from a list of 12,889 contestants who entered at www.BelmontStakes.com, the online home of the prestigious third leg of the Triple Crown. The 142^nd running of the Grade 1, $1 million Belmont Stakes will be held on Saturday, June 5.

The two runners-up, Cara Sillato of Pompano Beach, Fla. and Mary Adams of Saltillo, Tenn., will have their choice of two tickets to the 2010 Travers Stakes at Saratoga on August 28 or a $200 gift certificate to the online NYRA Store, which offers officially licensed NYRA merchandise.
