“Everything looks good this morning,” said Becker during training hours. “We have not decided what’s next for him, but I don’t think he’ll be running back right away. The owner and I will sit down and work out a little schedule for her. The Arlington Handicap (Grade III, July 17) is certainly a possibility.”
Emigh,
“I had a different strategy in mind going into the race,” said Emigh in post-race comments. “I didn’t want to be on the lead, but they gave it to me. We were going slow, so I took it. Sometimes you got to take what you can get.”
Emigh also took Saturday’s opener aboard Robert Sedlacek and Rita Pucci’s Pretty Slick Chick for trainer Frank Kirby and the fourth astride S. D. Brilie Ltd. Partnership’s Pathway for Christine Janks.
PRINCEVILLE CONDO NOW ON OPEN MARKET
Barr Three and Cherrywood Racing Stable II’s Princeville Condo returned to competition for the first time since suffering from an entrapped epiglottis in Fair Grounds’ Grade III Col. E. R. Bradley Handicap Jan. 23 and responded with a game runner-up finish after being forced wide most of the way.
“He came out of yesterday’s race just fine,” said trainer Michele Boyce Sunday morning. “He was looking around this morning for more action. I might take a look at that Illinois-bred race in June for him ($100,000 Black Tie Affair Handicap June 19 on Prairie State Festival Day), but now that he’s run so well on Polytrack (Saturday’s Illinois Owners was taken off the turf) – that opens up a lot more possibilities for him.”

“That’s also certainly a possibility,” Boyce said.
BLOCK-TRAINED
Team Block and Rich Ege’s Askbut I Won’ttell, winner of Saturday’s $97,000 Illinois Owners Stakes (female division), and Virginia Tarra’s Giant Oak, beaten favorite in the open division, both came out of their efforts without problems, according to trainer Chris Block.
