DAILY PICK 5 WAGER NEW AT ARLINGTON PARK FOR 2010 SEASON

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (April 26, 2010) – Arlington Park has a new multi-race wager on tap for its 2010 season, which begins on Thursday, April 29, and runs through Sunday, Sept. 26.

For the first time in its history, Arlington Park will offer a Pick 5 wager that will cover races three through eight on any card with at least nine races programmed.  The $1 minimum wager requires a bettor to correctly select the winner in five consecutive races.  In the event there is no ticket sold which designates the five official winners of the Pick 5 races, 20% of the net pool will be distributed to the holders of the tickets that correctly pick the most races correctly, and 80% of the net Pick 5 pool will be carried over to the next day.

Even when someone correctly picks the official winner in all five races, 20% of that day’s net Pick 5 pool will be distributed to the holders of the tickets that correctly picks four winners correctly and 80% of that day’s net Pick 5 pool, plus 100% of the carryover (if any), will be distributed to the holders of the tickets that correctly picked all five winners.

“We wanted to give our multi-race bettors another option without dropping either of our daily Pick 4 wagers, which have proven to be quite popular,” explained Jack Lisowski, Arlington Park’s director of mutuels.  “The wager, while certainly makeable, should carryover often enough to ensure the possibility of large carryover pools resulting in potentially huge payoffs.”

In addition to the new Pick 5 wager, Arlington Park will continue to offer two $1 Pick 4 wagers each day – with the early Pick 4 covering races 2-5 and the late Pick 4 encompassing the final four races on the card; a $1 Pick 6 generally covering the day’s final six races; rolling $1 Pick 3 wagers; rolling $2 Daily Double wagers (with a $1 wheel option); and $1 Place Pick 9 wager covering the day’s first nine races on all programs with at least nine races carded.

The track will also offer the standard single-race wagers - $2 win, place and show bets on every race; a $2 exacta (with $1 boxes and wheels available) on each race; a 50-cent trifecta on all races eligible under Illinois Racing Board rules; a 10-cent superfecta on all races eligible under Illinois Racing Board rules; and a $1 Super High Five wager generally on the day’s final race.

Arlington Park – the Chicago area’s premier Thoroughbred racetrack located in Arlington Heights, Ill. – will run a 91-day meet in 2010 from Thursday, April 29 through Sunday, Sept. 26. Arlington Park, whose parent company is Churchill Downs Incorporated (Nasdaq: CHDN), also operates 10 off-track, simulcast-wagering facilities – Trackside Arlington Park (Arlington Heights), Trackside Chicago, Trackside Quad City Downs (East Moline), Trackside Waukegan, Shooters Bar & Grill at Don Carter Lanes featuring Trackside Rockford, Fat Sam’s Bar & Grill featuring Trackside OTB in Lockport, Lucky’s featuring Trackside OTB in South Elgin, Nicolino’s featuring Trackside OTB in McHenry, Tad’s Sports Bar & Grill featuring Trackside OTB in South Beloit and Salerno-Pincente Ristorante featuring Trackside OTB in Hodgkins.  Information on Arlington Park can be found online at www.arlingtonpark.com.
