All Turf Pick 4 Returns Sunday at Gulfstream Park

 

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL (Fri., Mar. 5, 2010) - America’s fastest growing bet – the All Turf Pick 4 – is back on Sunday at Gulfstream Park.

The wager requires patrons to correctly pick the winner of the last four races with a minimum investment of 50-cents.

Offered for the first time at Gulfstream Park two weeks ago, the pool was $266,803, yielding a $1,945 payoff for one dollar. Last week, the pool grew to $312,735, with a blockbuster payoff of $4,558 after a first-time starter for Darrin Miller at 28-1 took the final race in the sequence.

““When we reconfigured the Gulfstream Park turf course, it was with the intention of maximizing the use of the course,” said Ken Dunn, President and General Manager of Gulfstream Park. “The All Turf Pick 4 is a natural extension of that, and, weather permitting, we’re hopeful we can add to the excitement of Sunday racing by giving fans more of the type of racing and wagering that they obviously enjoy.”

The first two All Turf Pick 4 pools were the fourth and sixth highest pools of the meet, behind only the marquee Saturday cards (Donn, Fasig-Tipton Fountain of Youth and Fasig-Tipton Filly Festival).

First post on Sunday is 1:15pm. There are eleven races scheduled with the pick four starting on race eight at approximately 4:43 pm.
